Rihanna Perfectly Uses Meme To Combat Body Shaming

Body-shaming is something causing a big problem in the world today and even celebrities like Rihanna are not immune. After being body-shamed in a recent online posting, Rihanna clapped back in a perfect way.

Last week, the website Barstool Sports published a since deleted piece criticizing the “Work” artist for “enjoying that good room service a bit too long.” The piece was titled Is Rihanna Going to Make Being Fat the Hot New Trend?

Monday (June 5), in what seems to be a response to the piece, Rihanna shared a meme on Instagram that featured a split image of rapper Gucci Mane – one from 2007 and one from 2017.

“If you can’t handle me at my 2007 Gucci Mane, you don’t deserve me at my 2017 Gucci Mane,” the meme read.

Captioned with only the shedding a tear emoji, fans praised Rihanna for her response.

“Don’t change a thing, you’re the queen,” one user wrote. “We love you,” wrote many others.
