Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift had one of the biggest celebrity feuds of 2016, but is that all in the past?
The 36-year-old reality star sat down with Andy Cohen for an episode of Watch What Happens Live and addressed the status of her and Taylor Swift’s relationship since she inserted herself into her husband Kanye West’s feud with the pop star last summer.
Cohen asked Kardashian if she has heard from or has had any contact with Swift since then to which Kardashian simply shook her head no.
When a fan asked Kardashian if the feud made things awkward for her younger sister Kendall Jenner, who at one point was, or at least rumored to be a part of Swift’s famed “squad,” Kardashian said, “I don’t think it was awkward.” She then doubled down on her comments by saying she never thought Kendall was ever a part of the squad.
Last July, after Swift had publicly complained about her name being used by Kardashian’s husband Kanye West in his highly-publicized song “Famous,” Kardashian took to Snapchat and “exposed” Swift in a series of 20 plus videos. The videos were of a private conversation West had with Swift about the lyric in question.
In the videos, West asked Swift’s permission to use her name. He said he did not want to “do rap that makes people feel bad.” Swift gave West her permission and even called the lyric a “compliment.”
Since then the feud between Kardashian/West and Swift has been relatively quiet. But based on its history, which stems all the way back to 2009, this feud could pop up in headlines at any given moment.
