Talk about real recognizing real! Sunday night (May 21), music icon Celine Dion led a singalong of Cher’s “Believe” backstage at the Billboard Music Awards.
Celine Dion could not refrain from singing along as Cher performed her hit “Believe” at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. Watching the performance on a television monitor, Dion led an assembled group of press in what looks to have been one incredible time.
Keltie Knight from The Insider captured the moment on camera. “I had an epic singalong with @celinedion and I cannot breathe,” she wrote on social media.
Both Dion and Cher were front and center at Sunday’s awards show. Dion performed a rendition of her chart-topping hit “My Heart Will Go On,” in honor of the 20th anniversary of Titanic.
Cher, who turned 71 on Saturday (May 20), not only performed her hits “Believe” and “If I Could Turn Back Time,” but she was also honored with the night’s Icon Award.
