When Ed Sheeran hits the road this June, he will bring his buddy James Blunt along for the ride.
The “Shape of You” artist announced Monday, that his good friend and “You’re Beautiful” artist James Blunt will serve as the opening act for his highly-anticipated upcoming North American tour.
“Happy to announce my opening act on my North American tour is @jamesblunt” Sheeran wrote in a tweet.
Both Sheeran and Blunt spent some time together during Sheeran’s year-long hiatus. The two came together for Blunt’s song “Make Me Better,” which he released on the same day Sheeran released his latest album Divide (March 3). Blunt was also a witness to Sheeran’s freak accident where, according to Blunt, the “Castle On A Hill” artist cut his face with a sword.
Sheeran’s North American tour will get started on June 29 in Kansas City, Missouri. He will bring his tour to Philadelphia and the Wells Fargo Center for two shows on July 11 and July 12.
