Did Chrissy Teigen Fall Asleep At The Academy Awards?

Excited. Stunned. Confused. These are just some of the adjectives that could be used to describe the 89th Academy Awards. As for supermodel Chrissy Teigen, the best adjective that could be used to describe her night at the awards show is tired.

All anyone could talk about the day after the 2017 Academy Awards was the made for Hollywood like ending that will define this year’s show forever. With the ending on the way out of our system, everyone has begun to turn their attention to the rest of Sunday night’s happenings such as Chrissy Teigen appearing to have fallen asleep mid-show.

While Casey Affleck delivered his acceptance speech after being named Best Actor for his role in Manchester By The Sea, the 31-year-old supermodel was spotted with her eyes shut and her head placed on the shoulder of her husband John Legend.

This is not the first time Teigen has garnered attention during a major event. At this month’s Super Bowl, social media fell in love with Teigen as she drunk tweeted football’s biggest game live from the stadium.

Teigen’s husband John Legend performed “City of Stars” during the Academy Awards. The song, which was named Best Original Song, was featured in Best Picture nominee La La Land.

Legend will bring his upcoming tour to our area when he performs at the BB&T Pavilion on June 22.
