Second drink anyone?
If you are a fan of the hit television show The Office, then you remember in season one when Pam Beesly, played by Jenna Fischer, was banned from all Chili’s restaurants after she got intoxicated during Dunder Mifflin’s annual Dundie Awards. Well, there is good news; the ban no longer exists!
On Monday (February 6), Fischer, who played the role of Beesly, tweeted a picture of herself outside of a Chili’s restaurant asking the question “Should I try to go in?”
The chain restaurant responded to Fischer with “we hope you felt God tonight,” in reference to the acceptance speech she gave after winning the Dundie Award for Whitest Sneakers Award, where she she said she “felt God in this Chili’s tonight.”
The witty back and forth did not stop there. After their reply to Fischer, Chili’s issued an official statement regarding the ban of Pam Beesly.
“Effective immediately Chili’s Grill & Bar has removed the longstanding ban on a Scranton, Pennsylvania woman who allegedly caused a disturbance during a company awards party held at a Chili’s near the Pennsylvania town of Scranton” the statement read.
Kelli Valade, President of Chili’s added “After reviewing the good conduct of Pam, I have decided to lift the now 11-year ban. Pam is an inspiration to many and we welcome her with open arms.”
Of course, Fischer and her co-stars reacted to the great news. Maybe an office reunion could be in the works?
